Known Interments
Initial research into the cemetery launched from a book written by Judy and Nath Winfield, Jr. titled Cemetery Records of Washington County Texas 1826-1960, published by Norton Press in 1998. The section of interest, Washington Cemetery, pages 12-13, includes headstones the Winfields were able to find and inventory in 1965.

A second book, Austin Colony Pioneers written by Worth S. Ray, includes more burials evidenced by headstones that were not viewed by the Winfields. This book was published by The Genealogical Publishing Co., Inc. in 1949. The author states his research was conducted over several years.
"The dead are not dead if we have loved them truly." - Emily Dickinson
